Misrepresented Expectations and Unprofessional Behavior
Dr. Shapiro's reputation is marred by two patients who had negative experiences with his services. Mickayla Cooper, who gave him a 1-star review, claimed that Dr. Shapiro assured her that he could fix her dorsal hump and deviated septum, but after the surgery, she realized that her nose was still crooked and the results were not what she had expected. She alleged that Dr. Shapiro was uncooperative and unprofessional, suggesting that she get filler to fix her nose instead of performing another operation to correct the issues.
Positive Experiences
On the other hand, three patients - Debbie Gilmartin, Lillian Fattaleh, and Ann Maxwell - had extremely positive experiences with Dr. Shapiro. They all gave him 5-star reviews, praising his professionalism, staff, and results. Debbie and Lillian reported being thrilled with their results, while Ann was very pleased with her upper and lower blepharoplasty fat transfer surgery, citing Dr. Shapiro's approachability and personability.
Poor Follow-up Care
Sydnee Falkner, who also gave Dr. Shapiro a 1-star review, claimed that her revision surgery did not improve her nose shape and breathing issues, and that Dr. Shapiro's office suggested getting filler to fix the problems instead of addressing the underlying issues.
