He then attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine and was selected for the nationally prestigious Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) where he earned his MD and Ph. D. degrees.

Dr. Kim spent six years honing his surgical skills alongside some of the top plastic surgeons in the country at UCLA.
